Fourth Grade Endangered Animal Experts

  • 4th Graders welcomed family members to their classrooms before December Break to learn about the endangered animal they researched.
  • The projects included non-fiction writing such as picture captions, informational essays and the scripts to their documentary style videos.  
  • Thank you to Grade 4 teachers Mrs. Corcoran, Ms. Thomas, and Mrs. True for their collaboration on this engaging research project for their students.

Jenkins Welcomes SHS Super Bowl Champs

  • Jenkins welcomed back our former students from the SHS Varsity Football Team on Friday, December 20, 2024.
  • Players visited every classroom with their MIAA Super Bowl trophy.
  • Mr. “B” Boulrisse, Jenkins PE and Health teacher, is an assistant coach for this Championship team.
  • Players and staff alike loved celebrating this accomplishment with our students - what great role models!

Jenkins Community Responds with Generosity

Our Fifth Grade Student Council loaded up the generous donations for the South Foster Closet including:

  • 1,538 diapers
  • 631 pairs of socks
  • 630 pairs of underwear

December School Spirit Days raised $312.50 for The Maximus Vaccarino Fund for the Arts

  • January 13-24: Middle of the Year Benchmark Assessments
  • January 15: PTO Meeting - Virtual
  • January 20: Martin Luther King Day - No School
  • January 28: Shark Assembly - Perseverance
  • February 5: Early Dismissal at 11:25am-Breakfast is served, bag lunch available
