Civic Action Project Kick Off
Scituate community members recently attended a Civic Action Project Kick Off Event with 10th grade students. Sophomore students are about to start a year-long project in their Social Studies class where they will be asked to solve a real world problem that interests them within our local community.
To kick off this project, twenty five community members spoke with students about their role in town and how they work to create positive change. The goal of the event was to help students better select a topic of their own. Students left the event impressed with all of the great work that goes on in our town and inspired by the possibilities for their projects.
